Committee Seeks Proposals for City Center
The City Center Selection Committee appointed by Central mayor Mac Watts voted last week to issue a Request for Information (RFI) from property owners who would like to have their property considered for the location of a City Hall, meeting place, driveways, and parking.
The committee, which will issue a report to the mayor and City Council, wants to look at single or adjacent tracts totalling at least 15 acres, which would be suitable for a City Center.
The details of the RFI can be viewed at www.centralgov.com or by calling David Barrow at 225-261-5255. The deadline for submitting proposals is 3 p.m. Oct. 7. A public meeting will be held later this month to answer questions. Check the city website for the time, date and location.
